Israel’s First 3D Tomosynthesis System and C-View Synthesizer
This
breakthrough 3D technology allows doctors to examine breast tissue one layer at
a time, thus cutting through the various tissue layers that often cover each
other and can "hide" a cancerous tumor.
Hala
has partnered with Hologic Inc., a world leader in the development of premium
diagnostic technology for women’s health, to acquire this new state-of-the-art
system that increases early detection rate of small tumors by 50 %,
significantly reduces callbacks and decreases the rate of false positives by
50%.
With
these systems, calcium detection is faster, comparisons with 2D images are
easier, patient comfort is increased and radiation is decreased.
Hologic is the
first company to receive FDA approval for 3D Breast Tomosynthesis.
